We recently transitioned all Shorelands Water customers to our customer information and billing systems, which will enhance the payment options available to you. Below are the highlights of what’s new.

  • New call center phone number: The new phone number for our Customer Service Center will be 1-800-272-1325. Expanded call center hours: Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For emergencies, such as main breaks, water quality issues, water outages, and water leaks, we’re available at this number 24/7, 365 days a year.

  • Quick Reminder: The Shorelands Water iWeb, iCall and Direct Debit programs were discontinued so that we could transition you to our billing system. We offer all of these convenient payment options as well, so you still have the option to pay online, by phone, in person and by mail. More information is included in our welcome brochure.

  • Online account information and self-service features: Beginning with your September water bill, you’ll have access to your billing and account information online through our self-service tool, called My Account With My Account, you can view and pay your bill online, sign up for Paperless Billing and Auto Pay, update your contact information, select how you’d like to receive emergency notifications and more. And, beginning with your August bill, we will store your statements (up to two-year’s worth) online, so that in time, you will be able to track water use trends or view your account history. To enroll, AFTER you receive your new account number on your August bill, visit Please note: if you register, please use the name as shown on the bill.

  • New address for mailing payments: Beginning with your newly formatted September bill, you will be mailing the water payment to a new address. Payments will be made payable to “New Jersey American Water” and mailed to New Jersey American Water, P.O. Box 371331, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7331. If you recently made a payment to Shorelands Water, it will be applied to your New Jersey American Water account.

  • We will be changing the look of our bill. The new bill format makes it easy to find the information you care about most, including a comprehensive bill summary with improved line item descriptions, a description of payment options, water use data and comparisons and more. See the enclosed brochure for more information.

  • Paperless Billing and Auto Pay. Consider signing up for Paperless Billing and we’ll notify by email with the amount due and when your bill is available to view online. Take it one step further and sign up for Auto Pay. Your bill will be paid on time, every time, directly from your checking or savings account AUTOMATICALLY! No checks to write and no stamps required. Once you receive your August bill with your new account number, you can enroll at NOTE: Shorelands’ direct debit program was discontinued for bills with due dates AFTER August 23. Shorelands direct debit customers will not automatically be transitioned to New Jersey American Water’s Auto Pay program, because we need your authorization to automatically deduct the payments each month. To enroll in Auto Pay, please fill out the authorization form included in the enclosed brochure. We’ll need your written authorization at least seven days before the date your bill is due for us to continue to automatically withdraw your water payment from your banking account.

  • We will continue to bill you for water service on a monthly basis. But please know, we had to modify the meter reading schedule in July and August for some customers to allow for a smooth transition. As a result, your July through September bills may be prorated and include water service charges for fewer or more days than what’s typical. We’ll resume to a normal billing cycle in October.
