Job Title:                    Operations Engineer

Job Description:

Supports Operations Manager with his/her responsibilities as they manage all aspects of operations, maintenance and construction of the water treatment and distribution facilities. Train to assume management position within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Coordinates all engineering efforts related to the operation, maintenance and construction of the Company’s two water treatment plants, four storage tanks, one pumping station, six interconnections and distribution system. Prepare construction drawings, specifications, material lists and cost estimates for main extensions and other in-house engineering projects. Updates and distributes system maps and GIS data as needed. Collects and prepares input for and operates hydraulic models of distribution system. Responsible for assisting Production Department in maintaining compliance with Safe Drinking Water Act requirements. Provides input to the preparation of the Company’s Operating and Capital Budgets; and implements and adheres to the approved budgets. Maintains open and effective lines of communication with state and federal agencies. Has working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software and equipment. 

SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL OR REGISTRATION QUALIFICATIONS 

Must have B.S. Civil Engineering with emphasis on water/wastewater design and construction. NJ-EIT License, 5 years experience minimum. Application Deadline:  9/26/08
